The fast layer of the tablet dissolves in the stomach, releasing high-dose bromelain , for protein digestion, and dry Gentian extract , which stimulates the secretion of gastric juices and bile.
The retard layer acts in the intestine with an enzymatic blend formulated for the digestion of a complete meal: Amylase, Glucoamylase, Protease I and II, Cellulase, Lipase. Furthermore, Principium Enzimi No Gas provides Alpha-Galactosidase for the splitting of starch in legumes and Beta-Galactosidase, useful for the digestion of lactose. The formulation is completed with Fennel extract titrated in essential oil which counteracts the formation of intestinal gas and with a Melissa extract titrated in rosmarinic acid.
