Dry eyes

Dry eyes are a common cause of eye problems and are due to reduced tear production or a change in the composition of the tear fluid. The tear fluid's task is to moisten the surface of the eye and the inside of the eyelids. In this way, the cornea is protected against drying out, infection, wounds and damage.

Symptoms of dry eyes

In addition to the eyes feeling dry, burning, itching, irritation and redness are common. Some people get a feeling of having debris in their eye. Some may also be troubled by floods of tears.
