Bisolvon is an over-the-counter medicine that contains bromhexine
Used for short-term treatment of tough mucus in connection with persistent respiratory diseases
Works by dissolving tough mucus so that it becomes thinner and easier to cough up
The tablets are small, easy to swallow and convenient to take with you to work, school or on holiday
Although the effect is often felt already on the first day of treatment, the thinning of the mucus occurs gradually
It is therefore recommended that the treatment is not stopped too early. Full effect is usually achieved after three to five days of treatment. Whole tablets can be taken by adults and children over the age of twelve. The tablets have a dividing line and can be divided so that half the dosage can be used by children over six years of age.
