Femibion® 1 is a dietary supplement containing 11 vitamins (B-complex vitamins, vitamins C, D and E), iodine, selenium, iron and choline. Folic acid contributes to the growth of the mother's tissues during pregnancy. Metafolin-active folate increases maternal folate status, and low maternal folate is a risk factor for fetal neural tube defects. A beneficial effect is achieved with an additional daily intake of at least 400 µg of folic acid during at least one month before and three months after conception. Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system and plays a role in the process of cell division. Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin and to the reduction of fatigue and exhaustion. Choline contributes to the normal metabolism of homocysteine.
