OCTENISEPT spray 50ml
 
octenisept® aqueous solution intended for skin and mucous membrane disinfection. The preparation is used for repeated, short-term antiseptic treatment of the mucous membranes and surrounding skin before diagnostic and operative procedures in the anogenital region of the vagina, the external part of the female genital organs, the tip of the penis, then before catheterization of the bladder, for disinfection of the oral cavity and as repeated therapy of fungal infections between fingers, as well as antiseptic treatment of wounds.
 
Antimicrobial action is manifested by action against bacteria, fungi and lipophilic viruses (including herpes simplex, HIV virus, hepatitis B virus). The action spectra of octenidine and phenoxyethanol are complementary. Clinical studies related to the effect on the mucous membrane of the vagina and the mucous membrane of the mouth showed a significant reduction in the number of germs both in the short term and in the long term. Octenidine dihydrochloride is not absorbed through the skin or mucous membrane, and phenoxyethanol is absorbed in small amounts and has no systemic effect.
