ADHD

ADHD is a neurological disorder that causes concentration difficulties, hyperactivity and impulsivity. Most children get ADHD, but adults can also be affected.

Alzheimer's

Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia. In Alzheimer's disease, the nerve cells in the brain are destroyed and the first symptom is usually memory loss.

Anxiety

Anxiety is a vital built-in reaction, which enables the body and brain to react quickly to possible dangers. There are different forms of treatment for anxiety, depending on how afflicted you are.

Bipolar disorder

About 2% of the population develops a bipolar disorder during their lifetime. Bipolar disorder is characterized by large fluctuations in mood, where one switches between being extremely excited (manic) and depressed.

Epilepsy is a collective term for a number of different conditions that all lead to sudden and uncontrollable epileptic seizures.

Meningitis

Meningitis is an infection of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord, and causes typical symptoms such as high fever, headache, neck and back stiffness.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a serious disease that affects the nervous system in the brain and spinal cord. MS affects approximately twice as many women as men.

Parkinson's disease

Parkinson's disease is a disease that causes tremors, muscle stiffness and slow movements. The reason is that you have too little of the signal substance dopamine in the brain.

Stroke

A stroke is caused by either a blood clot in the brain or a cerebral haemorrhage. A stroke often occurs quickly and unexpectedly, and causes symptoms such as sudden numbness, weakness or paralysis in one half of the body.
