COMPOSITION
Viagra - 100 mg contains 4 tablets of 100 mg sildenafil in the form of citrate, as well as auxiliary substances (eg microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, etc.).
EFFECT
Sildenafil is a strong selective inhibitor of cGMP-specific phosphodiesterase (PDE 5), responsible for the breakdown of cyclic GMP in the corpus cavernosum of the penis. The drug does not have a direct relaxing effect, but enhances the effect of nitrogen monoxide (NO) in the corpus cavernosum. During sexual stimulation, when the NO/cGMP system is activated, sildenafil inhibits PDE 5, the breakdown of cGMP is lower, so its concentration in the corpus cavernosum increases. According to the volume, sexual stimulation is a condition for the effect of the drug.
ADVERSE EFFECTS
Adverse effects are usually transient (min-hours), and are mild to moderately pronounced. The most common side effects are: transient headache, flushing, dizziness, dyspepsia and rickets. In addition, sporadic vision changes were described (1.9%). Although it has a mild vasodilator effect, sildenafil does not change the heart rate.
PRECAUTIONS
Consult your doctor before use and pay attention to medicines for the treatment of angina pectoris (eg nitrates and similar). Do not use it after the expiration date marked on the original packaging.
DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
