The active substance of the drug Cardiopirin, acetylsalicylic acid, has an anti-aggregation effect and reduces the frequency of blood clots. Since the tablets are coated with an acid-resistant film, the unwanted effect on the stomach is reduced.
Cardiopirin 100 mg gastro-resistant tablets are used:
to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction in patients with angina pectoris
as relapse prophylaxis after myocardial infarction
as prophylaxis of thrombosis after vascular surgical intervention, such as coronary artery bypass grafting
for secondary prevention of transient ischemic attack and stroke
suspected acute myocardial infarction
as prophylaxis of cardiovascular events in patients with diabetes mellitus and high cardiovascular risk
