The medicine Hextend contains hexetidine, which has antibacterial and antifungal effects (acts against bacteria and fungi) and
is used to treat infections of the mouth and throat, including mouth sores, fungal infections (thrush), bleeding gums
(so-called gingivitis), bad breath or sore throat. It can be used before or after dental
interventions or pharyngeal surgery to prevent infections.
