Composition:   Tea leaf (Camelliae sinensis folium)
Properties : Green tea leaf contains catechin derivatives epicatechin, epigallocatechin, thein, theobromine, theophylline, caffeine, flavonoids, polyphenols, tannins, essential oil and vitamin C.
Application: The active ingredients of green tea show an antioxidant effect, so they have a beneficial effect on the cardio-vascular and respiratory systems. The use of green tea is recommended for elevated cholesterol levels in the blood, and due to the diuretic properties of the active ingredients, it is also recommended for urination. Green tea, due to its caffeine content, has a refreshing effect on the central nervous system, so its use is recommended for fatigue and to improve concentration. Traditionally, green tea is used as a tea for enjoyment, to facilitate digestion, to maintain the desired body weight and as a preventive measure against many diseases.
Restrictions on use  : During pregnancy and breastfeeding, avoid using large amounts of green tea.
Adverse effects and/or drug interactions  : Due to the tannin content, the resorption of certain drugs, especially iron preparations, may be delayed, so a 30-minute break between taking drugs and using tea is recommended.
