Feet Corn

Causes of corns

The most common cause of corns is the use of ill-fitting shoes, such as shoes that press or are too large so that the foot slides. Conditions that lead to the formation of calluses, such as misalignment of the feet and toes, can cause corns. Corns can also occur due to plantar warts, as calluses will form after the removal of the plantar wart.

Symptoms

Thickened skin can vary in both size and colour. When the thickening of the skin develops into a corn, it often becomes very painful. The licorice can have a glassy, yellow-colored appearance with a hard core. It is clearly defined and usually occurs on the feet.

Preventive advice

Take regular foot baths and exfoliate the calluses on your feetUse a softening foot cream. There are separate foot creams for hard skinWear footwear that fits your feet
